Our story
It’s funny how life has a way of bringing people back together at exactly the right moment. Their story started among the pizza ovens at Cane Rosso, where both the bride and the groom nursed massive—but very quiet—crushes on each other. They didn’t say much back then, but the spark was definitely there, even if it took a year apart and a global pandemic to finally catch fire.
Everything changed on a random evening while the bride was walking down Magnolia Street. She heard her name called out from the patio of a bar called Grandma’s, and there was the groom. To save him from a slow and boring night, she made him a wild offer: "Want to go do one of my favorite things?"
To her delight, he agreed. She drove him to a cliff overlooking the lake, handed him a baseball bat, and they spent the evening smashing eggs and produce into the abyss. As it turns out, there is truly nothing like the sound of flying tomatoes to bring two people together.
After they got the stress out, they ended the night with a moonlight swim under the stars. It was the most unconventional first date imaginable, but by the time they dried off, they knew they never wanted to spend another day apart. They’ve been inseparable ever since—though they promise there will be significantly less flying produce at the wedding!
They’ve come a long way from the pizza line and the lakeside cliffs, and they can’t wait to start their next great adventure with all of you by their side.
